New Delhi, (Samajweekly) To mark International Drug Abuse day, around 16,000 kg of drugs and other psychotropic substances, seized by Delhi Police during multiple operations across the national capital, were destroyed on Monday, an official said.
Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena inaugurated the programme in presence of Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora and other officers of city police.
According to officials, around 16,000 kg of drugs and other psychotropic substances seized by different districts, Crime Branch and Special Cell were destroyed at Biotic Waste Solutions Pvt Ltd, RU Nagar Industrial area, GTK Road in north Delhi.
