Balachaur (Samajweekly) (Jatinderpal Singh kaler ): The purpose of the revolutionary Ghadar heroes and Babbar Akalis to liberate the country was entirely different. In accordance with Sikh philosophy for the welfare of all (Sarbat da Bhala), they took full cooperation from revolutionaries not only in Punjab but also from other states of the country and put it into practice. These views were expressed by Comrade Amolak Singh, Convenor of Punjab Lok Sabhiacharal Manch (Plus Manch), at Gurdwara Tahli Sahib Suddhamaajra during the 94th martyrdom anniversary function of Babbar Akali Ratan Singh Rakkar, organized by the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee Jalandhar at the nearby village Rakkran Bet. He stated that like Kartar Singh Sarabha of the Ghadar movement, Babbar Ratan Singh Rakkar was not only an expert in escaping by throwing dust in the eyes of the police and the army, but he also preferred attaining martyrdom over falling into the hands of the police and military alive. He was also sent to Kala Pani (cellular jail). His presence would only be known when he escaped, completely disregarding the shackles on his feet and the handcuffs on his hands. His ultimate goal was to bring an armed revolution to the country. The poets of that era composed ballads (Vaars) about the bloody encounter that took place between him and the Indian army and police at his village Rurkee Khas (Rurkee Sainian). These views were shared by him with Ajit (news representative) here today while presenting his book “Ghadar ate Inqlab da International Rajdoot Bhai Ratan Singh Raipur Dabba” to the organizers, Bhai Jarnail Singh Khalsa Chak Singha and Didar Singh Shetra Kaulgarh (Nawanshahr), President of the Punjabi Sahit Sabha Balachaur (Regd.).
On this occasion, Anmolak Singh, Khushi Ram, Dev Raj, Malkit Singh, Talwinder Singh Heer, Surjit Singh, Malkiat Singh Jhingar, Talwinder Heer Nangal Khidarian, employee leader Bagicha Singh Rakkran, and Master Harbhajan Singh Rai, among others, were also present with him.
