(Samaj Weekly)- #Republic Day greetings to all. It is extremely important that the spirit of the making of our #Constitution be made part of our curriculum in the schools and colleges. It must form part of our debate. We need to understand that despite differences of political ideologies, our constitutional forefathers and mothers joined hand and gave us a #Democratic, #socialist #secular #republic. This is the basis of our constitutional frame work. Anyone trying to do away with it is actually anti national.
The constitution is our greatest cultural heritage. We need to debate it, discuss it in our forums as it is the basis of modern democratic India.
Today, attempts are being made to undermine the constitution. Those who enjoyed the fruits of the constitution despite their opposition to it are making all efforts to destroy the most sacred book of India. Yes, the constitution of India should be the most sacred book but obviously, it is open for amendments unlike other so-called holy books which can never be amended or even talked about.
Let us celebrate the spirit of republicanism and embrace a modern India where we stand with our fellow citizens on the basis of their citizenship as well as humanity.
